At the weekend, it was my birthday, so like all grown-ups do, I bought myself a new bike.Much to Hannah's despair, it's been sat in the lounge most of the weekend as well.I honestly thought I was buying a new bike for the sake of wanting something new and shiny, but in reality, I had no idea how much faster it would actually make me. We’ve finally settled into our new office, and fingers crossed, this one will be a longer-term home for us! A lot of people have asked why we chose London when I'm based in Towcester/Milton Keynes, and the answer is pretty simple:1) Better lunch options2) We enjoy getting frustrated when someone stands on the left side of the escalator3) I really enjoy the train ride in & the occasional delayBut the real reason? It’s the perfect halfway point between Harry and I.

On Tuesday morning, I woke up early for a long bike ride before work. I got a bit carried away with the distance and ended up returning later than planned, making me late for our morning meeting. Thankfully, Harry Ashton didn’t mind since he’s a strong advocate for a healthy body and mind before work...He always tells me he gets up at 4 AM, goes to the gym, runs the length of the district line, meditates for an hour, and sits in an ice bath for 30 minutes straight.Apparently, this is what all the LinkedIn business influencers are doing.

Had an amazing morning with TFI! We kicked things off with breakfast pizzas, which I didn’t know were a thing, but I’m a fan now. Then we got to try out the flight simulators at which was so much fun. We wrapped up with some delicious ice cream from The Willen Ice Cream Company. What a great start to a friday.

I'm back from a refreshing week off!It was reassuring to know that Harry Ashton had everything under control while I was away. When Harry Ashton joined in January, we set a goal to secure an office by the end of the year. After just six months, we've made it happen!Previously, we worked from home and used a day office once or twice a week. While that was manageable, we knew having a dedicated workspace would make a huge difference. Our new office might be small and the air conditioning isn't perfect/ doesn't work, but it's ours, and we couldn't be happier!
